Hi,
I am a Florida resident, exploring the Florida countryside. On this blog you won’t find a lot about theme parks, we’re more the nature loving types. My husband, Jim and I enjoy going to parks and checking out the wildlife, also museums and such. Jim takes pictures and paints. Most of the pics you’ll find here are his, unless it says otherwise.
I’ll keep you updated here on places worth seeing in Florida and give you my honest opinion of places we go. We live in the Tampa Bay area, so you’ll probably find a lot about this area over time.

Weedon Island is wonderful. I recently took all five of my great-nephews fishing at Weedon Island. They had a great time. We saw gopher turtles along the side of the road and snakes! We also like to fish at the Robert B. Chestnut Park off McMullen Booth Road. We were happily surprised to see the doe and young bucks come out just as the park was closing. The pictures are wonderful. Thanks for the site!
